Blue Flag

After two years, Courseulles-sur-mer was able yet again to fly the Blue Flag on the beach. In 2008, water quality was declared beyond reproach, unlike the two previous sasons.
The Blue Flag is also flown at the port, for the 9th consecutive year.

To qualify for the Blue Flag, the following criteria must be met: relay the ideas of sustainable development and protection of the environment; encourage all participants to have a sense of responsibility, adapt and privilege tourism while preserving nature heritage; keep all swimming areas clean and preserve national and fragile areas; promote the use oflow mission transportation…

This European certification with a large tourist appeal, is the very symbol of an exemplary respect for the environment.
